At first it was through people telling stories to one another, to pass it along to the next generation. Later on came the written word which allowed the story to be preserved and passed along even further.  Even later, mediums like radio and video presented even greater opportunities. 

However in the current era, the ability to tell a spectacular tale has been magnified with new and old tools such as water, lights, lasers, music and video being able to used in conjunction to enthrall and astound an audience.
